Frequently Asked Questions

How am I working safely during COVID19?

I am trying my best to ensure that I am maintaining safe working practices. My desk, tools, equipment and materials (where possible) are regularly cleaned with antibacterial wipes and spray, I am also using latex gloves when handling cake toppers. If you have any further questions please do get in touch!

Why is Framing expensive?

Most of my frames are handcut and handmade by my local framer, Bruce Green of Asfordby Art Framing. The frames are beautiful, made from solid wood with a beautiful Oak veneer and made to my exacting requirements.
Frames are available in white or Oak finish - if you need something different just contact me to discuss.
As you can imagine it can be tricky to post a frame containing glass but I try to ensure that the frame is not damaged during transit by packing and wrapping it securely.
You can purchase your own frame and order an unframed Papercut if you prefer - let me know if you need specific dimensions for your Papercut.

How long will my order take to make?

In each listing there is a guide to how many days/weeks it will take for your order to be despatched. Please remember that this is a guide and indicates the minimum amount of time I will need to prepare your order so please make sure you order in plenty of time. Each design/order is hand made individually to order so during busy times waits may be longer than anticipated but please be rest assured that I will try my absolute best to get your order out to you as soon as I can. Thanks.

How do I know if it’s Handcut?

I offer both handcut and machine cut gifts and all handcut gifts are clearly labelled.
A handcut Papercut takes many, many hours of careful work as each one is unique and carefully cut out with a scalpel. They are beautiful gifts and I am able to incorporate a high level of detail and individuality to the cut.
A machine cut Papercut is also a beautiful gift. They are very close in looks to handcut but they are usually not as complex in design.
Each machine cut Papercut is designed by me using CAD software and individually altered or personalised by me before cutting - it still takes many hours to produce the final product but is quicker than handcut (reflected in the price.)
Message me if you have any queries or require a custom quote.

How will my unframed Papercut look?

All unframed papercuts are mounted into a white mount, signed and then a coloured backing card is attached. As I like to create depth in my papercuts I use foam board strips to set the backing card approx 5mm away from the backing card.
The mounted Papercut will fit into a standard frame but because of the depth you may have to give the back of the frame a little push to secure the back on.
If in doubt, order a framed Papercut which will ensure that your Papercut fits perfectly.

How do I apply Vinyl Stickers/Wall Art?

When purchasing vinyl stickers & wall art I always include instructions on how to apply the vinyl to your surface.
Your vinyl will be supplied ready to go with the transfer tape applied, it's literally ready to peel off and stick on!
Please make sure you test the surface area prior to application as I cannot be responsible for paint peeling off or damage to the surface area (which is highly unlikely in any case.)

Custom and personalised orders

You can request a custom order for any of my products.
All custom and personalised designs are designed by me to your requirements - I will work closely with you to ensure that the design of the product is just what you want.
Once I have created the design I will usually send you a digital proof to check before any cutting/making begins - no changes can be made once I start making the product.
